Appointments

Consultations can be made by contacting our friendly and helpful reception staff on (03)5975-2422

Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am - 4pm.

The office is closed daily from 12pm to 1pm.

New patients:

You will require a current referral from either your GP, Specialist or Optometrist in order to claim a rebate from Medicare.

Referrals are current for either 12 months (GP/Optometrist) or 3 months (Specialist).

On the day of your initial appointment please bring:

  •  Referral

  •  Medicare Card

  •  Private Health Insurance details

  •  Department of Veteran Affairs

  •  Pension/Health Care Card

  •  Glasses

  •  Contact lens cases

  •  Current list of medications

  •  Details of medical history including previous ocular history

Length of Time

Please allow approximately 60-180 minutes for your appointment. Each appointment will involve an eye assessment by our orthoptists prior to seeing the ophthalmologist. Your pupils may be dilated with drops to allow a thorough examination of your eyes which may need approximately 20 minutes to take effect. Dilating drops may cause blurry vision and sensitivity to light, so please bring sunglasses and/or organise a driver.

Fees

Please note we are a Private Practice and payment is required at the time of your consultation. We are happy to process your Medicare rebate for you online.

Payment can be made by Eftpos, Credit Card or Cash.

Upon booking your appointment staff will advise of approximate fees, however, additional charges may apply depending on tests required.
